Original Aircraft Skin / Aviationtag / Airbus A330-243 South African Airways ZS-SXV
Africa is back at Aviationtag — and this time our world tour lands in South Africa. This edition is cut from Airbus A330-243 ZS-SXV, flown by South African Airways — a long-haul aircraft built for distance, rhythm, and reliability. The story begins with its first flight on 22 July 2011, followed by delivery to SAA on 6 September 2011 as ZS-SXV. From Johannesburg, the A330-200 lived the steady cadence of intercontinental travel: late-night departures, early-morning arrivals, ocean crossings, and that unmistakable feeling of a cabin settling into cruise while the world scrolls beneath.
That energy doesn’t vanish — it transforms. Your Aviationtag is an aviation tag / aircraft tag / plane tag crafted from genuine aircraft skin and made from upcycled aircraft material. It’s authentic aircraft memorabilia designed to be carried, not stored: on your keys, your bag, or your luggage as a daily reminder of where aviation can take you. And because every section of aircraft skin tells its own visual story, every piece is different — individually numbered, laser-engraved, and finished with its own texture and tone.
In March 2020, ZS-SXV’s chapter with South African Airways came to a close. The airframe then moved on to its final stops — via Newquay (NQY) and onward to Nîmes (FNI) — where the aircraft was ultimately stored and its material began a second life beyond the runway.
