Frequently Asked Questions

Are the items in your shop available?
99% yes. As our shop has an integrated stock control sold items are reduced in the stock immediately. Since we have several thousand of items in stock errors still may occur and it might happen in rare cases that an item is not available.

I cant order more than 1 piece of the same item. What is wrong?
Nothing. In case you are unable to change the number of pieces from 1 to another number there is only 1 piece left. If 2 ore more pieces are available you can enter any number. If it is higher than the available pieces it will be reduced to what is available automatically.

Can I order online and pick up at Oberglatt?
Of course. You order online and choose pick-up instead of shipping.

Do I have to register to use your shop??
You may register yourself with a username and password. Registered users can see and track their orders and do not have to retype their address when placing further orders. If you prefer not to register you can do so as well and order as unregistered user.

How can I pay?
Shop at Oberglatt: cash in Swiss Francs and Euro as well as the cards of Maestro, Postcard, Visa, Mastercard and American Express.
Shipping within Switzerland: invoice in advance, Postcard, Debit Direct, Mastercard, Visa and Paypal
Shipping outside Switzerland: Mastercard, Visa and Paypal. No checks and no banktransfers

Your shipping costs are high.
Shipping costs are given by the postal services. We do not have a choice but charging them to you.

IIs my payment by credit card safe?
Yes. You will be directed for payment by credit card to the safe server of Swiss Post / Postfinance. We do not receive nor store any credit card information.

Is my parcel insured?
Yes. we are shipping as registered mail and your parcel is insured against loss and damage. If it should happen that a parcel arrives damaged have e damage report issued by the transporter and mail it so us for settlement with Swiss Post.

Can I track my parcel?
You get a shipping message containing the tracking number of your parcel. Within Switzerland you can track your parcel until the distination. For international parcels it depends on the country of destinatiion. Please mind that international parcels have to pass customs what sometimes can be timeconsuming.

What about the Swiss VAT?
The Swiss VAT is 7,7 %. Orders to destinations outside Switzerlands will be reduced by these 7,7 %. Please mind that fees and taxes might be applicable by the country of destination. Such fees and taxes are NOT included in the shipping fees.

Can you state a lower value so I can save taxes?
Unfortunately not. We have to add an invoice and customs declaration with the parcels. Declaring lower values is illegal and can be fined.

How long is the carriage time?
Check the list of Swiss Post for average carriage times.

Why is your website in German?
Our market is Switzerland and the German speaking countries. It is beyond our possibilities to translate the information pages to other language as this would not only have to be in English but also in French, Italian and more. Anyhow the webshop can be switched to English, French, Italian and Rumantsch in order you get the functions and buttons in these languages. Correspondence in English and French is no problem.
